Reworked from the ground up compared to the Vapor 11, the Vapor 12 is lighter, more responsive, and more clay-ready than ever — bringing back the springy Air Zoom cushioning and introducing Nike's advanced Claybreaker technology for superior traction and control on red clay.

Claybreaker Technology

Nike's Claybreaker technology is engineered to enhance traction and reduce clay build-up on the outsole. Added grip in the forefoot and midfoot works with a wide traction pattern to help you slide with confidence and control. The design was developed using traction maps, pressure maps, and clay build-up analysis — then tested on red-clay courts across Europe in multiple conditions: cold, warm, wet, and dry.

The herringbone traction pattern is crafted from a new rubber compound that's lighter than previous Vapor models. A firm midfoot plastic piece — brought back from past Vapors — provides optimal stability and transitions when cutting side to side, while also allowing Nike to remove rubber from the midfoot to reduce overall weight. The engineered mesh upper is lighter than before while maintaining durability in high-wear zones.

Power Transfer & Support

A firm foot frame wraps around the supportive midfoot plate and spans from heel to toe, giving you a secure, locked-in feel. It helps transfer power during aggressive slides, cuts, and pivots. The full midfoot fit band allows you to pull the laces tighter for a more precise fit and faster cuts. A heel Air Zoom unit keeps you supported and springy throughout your match.
